To enter the undergraduate minor, students must first successfully complete one lower or upper division Statistics course with a letter-grade of C or higher and have an overall grade-point average of 2.0 or better. Then, visit the Statistics Student Affairs Office at MS 8117 and file a petition with the Student Affairs Officer.
To complete the minor, you must take a minimum of 28 units in Statistics courses. The successful completion of the minor is indicated on your transcript and diploma.

All courses must be taken for a letter grade and you must maintain an overall grade-point average of 2.0 or higher. Successful completion of hte minor is indicated on the transcript and diploma.
Statistics 199 may be applied as one elective.
Stats 89, 105, 110B, 112, 186, and 189 cannot be applied towards the minor.
A minimum of 20 units applied toward the minor must be in addition to courses applied toward major requirements or minor requirements in another department.
Statistics courses that count toward the minor may also count toward other requirements as appropriate (e.g. General Education requirements).
Students seeking to obtain minor credit for other courses taken elsewhere (e.g. at a junior college) must submit a petition and a copy of the syllabus to the Student Affairs Office (MS 8117).
